As he prepares for the release of his latest album, ’Ricky Skaggs Solo: Songs My Dad Loved,’ out next week, Ricky Skaggs received a Country Music Association for his collaboration with Jack White, the Raconteurs and Ashley Monroe.  Their bluegrass inspired version of the Raconteurs’ “Old Enough” is nominated for Musical Event of the Year.  Skaggs is an 8 time CMA winner, including Entertainer of the Year.

 

The CMA Awards, no in its 43rd year, are scheduled for November 11th on ABC, with hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley.
