May 6, 2010—Join Ricky Skaggs and friends from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (EST) to watch the 59^th Annual National Day of Prayer Observance LIVE from Nashville broadcasted via the Christian Television Network.  Celebrated annually on the first Thursday in May, the National Day of Prayer (NDP) was established in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress.  This resolution encourages Americans to pray for our nation, its people and its leaders.  The NDP Task Force concentrates on the need to pray for those in leadership on all levels of national, church and educational areas of influence.

5:30 p.m. – Doors open

6:30 p.m. – Event begins

7:00 p.m. – Greeting from the Master of Ceremonies 

7:05 p.m. – Greeting from Shirley Dobson in Washington, D.C. 

7:15 p.m. – Worship in song – Scripture reading 

7:30 p.m. – Prayers of repentance 

7:45 p.m. – Prayers for the various pillars of America including family, church, government, military, etc. 

8:30 p.m. – Prayers for the saints of God 

8:45 p.m. – Closing
