GRAMMY® NOMINATION FOR BEST ROOTS GOSPEL ALBUM OF THE YEAR

Keith and Kristyn Getty are quite proud that their latest album, Confessio – Irish American Roots, is nominated for a GRAMMY award this year in the Best Roots Gospel Album category. It features collaborations with a number of US artists they have met working on this side of the Atlantic, including bluegrass luminaries like Alison Krauss and Ricky Skaggs.

The Gettys made this album when home with their daughters in Northern Ireland during COVID. It was their love letter to the land of their birth: the place that gave the origins and the meaning to why they write hymns, from the first hymn writer St. Patrick and his “Confession,” to “Be Thou My Vision,” to their own journey writing “In Christ Alone” and other modern hymns. The Gettys were honored to have contributions from The Getty Girls, Alison Krauss, Dana Masters, Sandra McCracken, Jordyn Shellhart, Ricky Skaggs, Kirk Whalum, as well as many of their own team. They are grateful to Ben Shive, Fionán de Barra, and Capitol Christian Music Group for their contributions and hope the project shines a greater light on the Christian heritage of the West, the importance of hymn singing, and the irresistible beauty of the Lord Jesus.
