Thanksgiving Thoughts from Ricky Skaggs . . .

“I’m really looking forward to Thanksgiving this year! It’s been such a crazy time of COVID MADNESS!! but I have a lot to be thankful for. I’ve gotten to spend most of this year with Miss Sharon, which has been more time than we’ve ever had since we got married in 1981. I came through quadruple bypass heart surgery perfectly, (thank you Jesus) and we’ve had a brand new grandson, Lyric Salem Skaggs, our son Luke and his wife Rosemary’s son. So I have so much to thank God for. I’ve never been this unemployed since I started with Ralph Stanley when I was 15, but just as sure as the Lord brought me through heart surgery and blessed me so much, I know the Lord will work all things together because I love Him and I trust Him. Romans 8:28 His Word can’t lie. I’ve sure been praying a lot the last few weeks and I believe He has that too! So when you think of all the things you’re thankful for this year, thank God for sending His Son, Jesus, to take away your sins and mine, and the sins of the whole world if we will just put our trust in Him. He’s the gift that keeps on giving.” —Ricky Skaggs
